Enter the mysterious exotic world that has obsessed great artists for centuries.  Go “Behind the Veil” of the magical powers behind the historical character of seductress Salome and find out why people have given their entire lives to her image and have used her to define their own journeys.  Look at Oscar Wilde and Aubrey Beardsley who made the Opera famous.  Take a peek into the pages of “Sisters of Salome” about the lives of four strong women who used that image to make their marks on the world.  For centuries, the woman who danced naked in return for the head of John the Baptist has lured men and women alike deep into her story.  Now you can find out why.

Theme: “Odalisque”

Throughout history, artists have paid beautiful courtesans to sit for their most intimate works.  Lautrec, Klimt, Schiele, Modigliani, Rodin, Bellocq…the list goes on.

In those days, it was typical that the only ladies who would oblige an artist by removing her clothing were the ladies of the night.  And the wealth of art we received from this good natured, albeit sensual, collaboration between artist and doxy is unparalled.

In September of 2010, Studio L’amour presents “Bordello – four evenings at Maison des Fleurs” for a small group of fortunate artists, painters, and sculptors.  With our seductive models (including Michelle L’amour), this “Figure Drawing Session” will be sensual, decadent and like no other you’ve ever experienced.  The theme for this session is “odalisque” and we will explore the many exotic harem girl fantasies that enraptured the masters for hundreds of years.

Every inch of this series has been painstakingly designed to offer elegance and mystery.  Every lovely lady who will pose for your pen or brush has been hand selected for her timing, beauty, cheek, brilliance, gaiety, grace and charm.
