Studio L’amour opened officially in June of 2008 in response to the overwhelming call for Michelle L’amour to open her own burlesque instruction school. She had been teaching The L’amour Method for many years across the globe (at festivals, workshops, and shows) and took the leap to open her own brick and mortar facility.
She opened the space as an invitingly sexy home for her students…a place where sensuality is explored through dance, confidence and social experiences.
Located in Chicago’s West Loop, Studio L’amour stands as a welcoming oasis for women of all walks of life.
About Michelle L’amour
Michelle L’amour (Miss Exotic World 2005) has made her name internationally over the last six years as an award winning burlesque performer seen by millions of theater and television audiences. As an instructor, she’s taught over 2500 women through her workshops and classes. In 2010, L’amour released an exercise DVDcalled “Tease & Tone” that is available through her website . Whether tearing up the stage and small screen, or being featured in “Women’s Health” and as an instructor for the Berman Center, Michelle L’amour is bridging the gap for thousands of women who want to know how to feel and be sexy.

Frenchie Kiss: Tuesdays Basic Burlesque and Bachelorette Parties
Frenchie Kiss is the Temptress of Twirl! Little Miss Ooh La La. She comes all the way from Chicago, by way of Paris, performing regularly as one of the Michelle L’amour Chicago Starlets and teaching the basic burlesque class, tassel twirling workshops and bachelorette parties at Studio L’amour. Frenchie Kiss has performed at the Music Box Theater, Park West, The Music Box, Motel Bar, Hydrate and other venues in Chicago. She has also competed in Miss Exotic World 2008 (Best Debut) and Burlesque Hall of Fame weekend 2009 and 2010 (winning Best Group 2010), and has performed at Tease-O-Rama 2007, the Toronto Burlesque Festival 2008 and 2009, the Best of Midwest Burlesk Festival 2009, 2010 and 2011, and at the House of Blues in New Orleans, Houston and Dallas. Lady Ginger: Saturday Basic and Beg/Int Burlesque and Bachelorette Parties
Lady Ginger, “The Baroness of Bump,” is a proud member of Michelle L’amour’s internationally acclaimed Burlesque troupe, The Chicago Starlets (World’s Best Burlesque Troupe 2010, The Burlesque Hall of Fame). She wandered into one of Michelle L’amour’s Burlesque classes 5 years ago, and was hooked within 10 minutes. She has been a full company member for approximately 4 years. Lady Ginger has not only performed on numerous stages in the City of Chicago (Music Box Theatre, Lakeshore Theatre, The Metro, Hydrate, Mayne Stage, Subterranean, Bottom Lounge), but throughout the United States as well (Ohio, Texas, New Orleans, Las Vegas, San Francisco, New York, etc.), and internationally (Toronto). What initially drew Lady Ginger to Burlesque, and the reason she continues to study and perform, is how strong, confident, and sexy it makes her feel….and how much FUN it is!
